About Us

The foundation was started by Phil’s father, Seymour, brother, Allen and sister, Caren Zwickler Levine. In addition our board consists of one non-family member, Jeffrey Silver. Upon Seymour’s passing in 2015 we added Randi Zwickler, Phil’s niece. The four of us work collaboratively and meet regularly to consider existing and new grant opportunities. We are hands-on and long-term in our philanthropic endeavors.

We created this foundation to memorialize Phil and to keep his passionate fire burning. As a group we seek to help those who we believe Phil would have fought his fight for. We plan to remain current and innovative by bringing in the next generation of Phil’s legacy.

Allen Zwickler is a Wall Street veteran with his heart in philanthropic interests. He is currently chairperson for The Alliance For Positive Change. He lives between New York City and Long Island. His wife, Ellen Pikitch, is a world renowned professor and marine biologist. Together they have 3 adult children and 8 grandchildren.

Caren Zwickler Levine spends much of her time investigating and cultivating grant opportunities for the foundation. Her involvement goes as far as attending summer camp and writing poetry, while hosting an annual holiday breakfast. She lives on Long Island and plans to involve her son Parker and daughter Emily in the future mix. Emily is a counselor at Camp Amerikids (grantee).

Randi Zwickler is a senior manager in Digital Sales and resides in New Jersey. Randi is passionate about animal rescue and rescued her dog, Carter, during the pandemic. As our resident millennial she brings fresh ideas to the foundation.

Jeff Silver and Allen met over 40-years ago, when they sat for the Series 7 securities exam. Jeff has been in and out of the investment business, with the latter periods of time spent obtaining a couple of advanced degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, and as a Chief Financial Officer for a start-up software venture. He currently lives just outside of Park City, Utah.
